Frequently asked questions about this test

What does the Bar-On EQ-i 90 measure?
It measures emotional and social intelligence across 15 subscales — including emotional self-awareness, assertiveness, empathy, stress tolerance, impulse control, optimism, and happiness — first defined by Reuven Bar-On's published model of emotional-social intelligence.
How long does the test take?
Most people complete the 90 items in about 12–15 minutes. Answers auto-save in your browser so you can pause and return later without losing progress.
Is this the same as the clinical EQ-i 2.0?
No. The EQ-i 2.0 is a 133-item commercial instrument owned by MHS Assessments. The Ravanbarvar version uses the publicly known 15-subscale Bar-On framework with the standard 90-item Iranian adaptation. It is appropriate for self-reflection, not as a substitute for a clinically administered EQ-i 2.0.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your answers and scores are saved only to your private Ravanbarvar account. They are not shared with anyone and are never used to train AI models.
How are the scores calculated?
Each subscale has 6 items scored 0–4 (with reverse-keyed items flipped). The subscale score is the raw total divided by 24, expressed as a percentage. The overall EQ score is the unweighted mean of the 15 subscale percentages. Bands: very low (<20), low (<40), medium (<60), high (<80), very high (≥80).
